We’ve been working on gathering experiences from victims throughout Alaska for over a year. Throughout this month, we will be spotlighting victim voices, or experiences of homicide victims that have worked with us, with regards to the impact the murder of a family member had on their family and the community as a whole.

Due to the current pandemic, not all of us were able to gather in-person as we usually would for the Homicide Memorial Ceremony. In an effort to further honor homicide victims and provide their surviving family members with something tangible that they can cherish throughout the years, we’ve developed a video in which all 450 names of homicide victims currently on the Memorial are shown.
